DAY 5 OF AMADI'S SNOWMAN GLOBAL BLOG TOUR

Today, we visit the Paper Tigers blog where Janet Brown interviewed me. You'll find drawings from my visit at the Vidyaranya School of Hyderabad, in India, as well.

Janet is a bookseller, a fellow expatriate, and the author of "Tone Deaf in Thailand," to be released by ThingsAsian Press, in April 2009.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS AMADI?

Today, our bi-weekly feature takes us to Lyon, France, where Alice and her little sister, Kim, are reading "Amadi's Snowman".

Kim seems very interested in Amadi's mango, and looks like she wouldn't mind getting a bite.

Please, continue to send me pictures or your children reading "Amadi's Snowman", at katianovet@gmail.com. At the end of the tour, a lucky winner will win a special prize.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"The greatest gift is the passion for reading. It is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites, it gives you knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind. It is a moral illumination." Elizabeth Hardwick.

Tomorrow we continue with our visit at the Vidyaranya School, in Hyderabad, India. There will be more pictures, and the children of Vidyaranya will tell and show us what reading means to them. They'll also answer the questions that the children of Nsukka, in Nigeria, asked them. See you then...
